Bouldering is a fantastic thing to do with kids as it builds skills such as co-ordination, flexibility and problem solving, and is incredibly rewarding. Climbing is also an Olympic sport too, so bring your child along today and who knows where their journey might lead in the future.
One climbing adult can currently supervise one child on the mats. The adult does not need to have previous climbing experience to participate and supervise. If the adult isn’t climbing, then they can supervise two children. Supervision takes place on the mats at all times.
No one needs to have climbed before, and you can just turn up and climb. You will be asked to watch a short safety video when you arrive, fill in some registration forms and you can ask the friendly staff any questions you might have.
All children under the age of 16 need to be supervised unless previously signed off to climb unsupervised by a Chimera Staff Member.
Under 12’s have restricted opening hours – they can climb until 6pm on weekdays and 2pm at weekends.
